Bradley Cooper Opens Up!
Bradley Cooper is most certainly a talented actor, having played many different types of roles in his career so far. He has even played an addict convincingly on the big screen, but the actor has admitted to having trouble with drugs and alcohol in real life too, and he’s not afraid to talk openly about it. Cooper first admitted his addiction struggles to the Hollywood Reporter back in 2012, but now he’s revealing even more about his battle in the January 2014 issue of GQ magazine, saying, “If I continued it, I was really going to sabotage my whole life.”
The “American Hustle” star said that while he was never late or missed work, he thought that his drug use was interfering with his performance as an actor. “I think work was getting messed up…. The best thing I can do is embrace that I am and then do that to the fullest extent and then whatever happens, happens,” he said. “The more steps I do to not do that, the farther I am away from fulfilling any potential I would have…. So yes, of course it hindered my work.” Having now admitted to having a dependency Cooper sought the help he needed.
