At Seabrook, our young adult program provides a fresh start for clients ages 18 to 24 who are facing addiction disorders. Our holistic program addresses the underlying causes of substance misuse by treating both the disease of addiction and the psychological root of the problem.
We realize it can be more challenging for many younger people to achieve lasting sobriety, and we have designed our therapeutic program to address the specific substance abuse difficulties of this demographic. Our professional admissions team will evaluate each potential client to determine if they are well-suited for placement in this program.
Many young adults develop addictive disorders in response to substantial life changes, as well as higher levels of peer pressure. At Seabrook, we understand the unique therapeutic needs of young adults, and have tailored our program to prepare our clients to deal with their challenges in a healthy way.
Seabrook’s young adult program provides a comprehensive approach to treating the disease of addiction, as well as any attendant co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety. Many of our clients come to us with a dependency on more than one substance or behavior, which is why we have multidisciplinary treatment teams.
Seabrook’s addiction treatment programs are rooted in the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. We offer a multifaceted medical approach to alcohol and drug treatment, including opioid detox, gender-specific therapy, relapse prevention and family intervention services.
While living in our homelike environment, male and female clients begin to break free of the burdens of addiction. At each stage of recovery, Seabrook’s clients participate in 12-step programs to help them explore the underlying issues associated with their disease, and learn healthy ways of dealing with their addictive behavior.
We equip our young adult clients with the ability to develop healthier coping mechanisms and interpersonal relationship skills. After completing Seabrook’s young adult treatment program, clients will have a solid foundation that prepares them to face life’s challenges without resorting to substance misuse.
Seabrook gives a new lease on life to young adults who are struggling with addiction. We have developed our continuum of care to reduce the chances of relapse and prepare our clients for a healthy return to their families. We offer a loving and supportive environment for young adults to help them build healthy habits and rediscover a joyful, meaningful life free of drugs and alcohol.
