Rutgers’ Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs Plays an Important Role

For more than 75 years, The Rutgers’ Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs has provided a place where researchers can publish their studies. This journal has helped to play an important role in shaping national policy and providing education on substance abuse and addiction treatment. The center’s main priority today is to bridge the gap between the research findings and applying those findings to the treatment and prevention of addiction to alcohol and drugs. “Alcohol, drug abuse, and related problems are human problems,” says Robert Pandina, Director of the Center of Alcohol Studies at Rutgers. “Our scientific efforts are broad-based but our aim is to translate them into action.”

Addiction can happen to anyone, and the important thing to do is get into treatment for it. Recovery needs to be the number one priority in your life.
