Multi-million Dollar Heroin Ring Broken up in New Jersey

Law enforcement officials announced recently that an enormous drug dealing empire has been busted in New Jersey. The ring had been supplying the entire Northeast of the United States with heroin. 15 people were arrested in the bust, and more than 3 kilograms of heroin was seized—an amount which is worth at least $300,000 in street value. Also recovered by police were more than 500 bricks of heroin ready for distribution, which are worth over one million dollars at street price. The police had been orchestrating this operation for at least six months.

“The evidence seized indicates that this is a high-volume operation,” said Jeffrey Chiesa, New Jersey’s Attorney General. In the aftermath of such a huge drug bust, now is a good time to ask yourself if you’re harming other people’s lives with your drug use. The 15 people who were arrested face possible jail time or significant fines, and their lives are going to be forever altered. Desperate people turn to crime to fuel demand for heroin, cocaine, prescription pills, marijuana, alcohol, meth, PCP, bath salts, and other drugs.
