The other week on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the story line may have hit a little too close to home. There have been reports swirling that Lamar is addicted to drugs, so it was very odd that Khloe’s main storyline was all about crack addicts. Khloe Kardashian spent quite a bit of time talking about how she does not condone drug use and doesn’t understand how anyone could be addicted to crack. This episode was in the midst of allegations that Lamar Odom is addicted to that very same drug. Khloe made it a point to drive down skid row, a part of LA which is a notoriously bad part of town. She even stopped by a homeless shelter and met with women who had their lives affected by drugs.

She said that her father Robert Kardashian used to drive her several times a year down to skid row to show her just how lucky she is to have a nice life.

The most troubling part of the show was how closed minded and wrong she seemed to be about addiction. The truth is addicts are homeless people, they aren’t poor people. Addiction can hit anyone, and often the wealthiest people are the ones in the deepest because they have the funds to continue to feed their habit.
