Drugs Lead to Child Endangerment Charges

A couple faces charges after police say they found heroin needles and other drug paraphernalia in a bedroom where a 1-year-old girl was living. A sheriff’s deputy responded about 10:20 a.m. Sunday morning to a domestic disturbance. The fight began after one women admitted to cheating on her partner. Both women seemed to be under the influence of narcotics and that both appeared to have needle marks on their arms.

Upon being questioned about drugs in the home, police entered to home and went to the bedroom where the child was living. There they found 14 hypodermic needles, two burned spoons, one rubber tourniquet, a plastic container with water, a razor, two pairs of scissors, two metal paper clips and a smoking pipe that smelled of burnt marijuana. The two women face charges of child neglect, domestic battery in the presence of a child, possession of an injection device and posession of paraphernalia.
